i see lots of stone and brick carvings alongside the road on the way to our hotel from the airport. such beautiful carvings, and i wonder, where do they get that large amount of bricks?

our hotel is amazing! from the outside it looks like nothing, with the deafening sounds of electrical saws and traffic, you may overlook its beauty. you take one step into its door and you arrive at heaven; serene, calm, woody, peaceful, relaxing. soothing strings of a guitar plays, lobby cafe seated with relaxed diners, tourists sunbathing in the sun, doing backstrokes in the swimming pool. i can stay here forever. except that it's 250usd/night :O
the kind-hearted security officer at the haven helping to drag our luggage
(that night we walked around the town outside of our haven and looked for dinner. we stopped at this little store called Warung Ocha and had some local indonesian food. their cocopie-look-alike cookie and apple-beetroot-cucumber drink was to die for)
(however, the streets were quite unclean, with lotsa puddles of dirty water and mud which made it hard to walk around, plus the humid weather -- yes, even at night -- makes it worse. but then, these are all the elements of an adventure.)
the tap water is salty, i have no single clue why.
