cleo september 2010

ever since i outgrew seventeen mag, i read cleo monthly, without fail. and i have to say, that this is by far the best cleo issue ever! from cuffs (which, coincidentally, i just bought) to chocolates and self-confidence to great styling on the f/w trend report, and even to the make-up eds (which i normally just flip through), i love them all. i guess i now have ideas for the monash ball next month.

"20 best things from the big apple"

love the satin eyelet-hemmed dress,

and this bejewelled bib necklace,

as well as those feather earrings

and this is the wall i would stare at whenever i m bored with reading academical journals and past psychology research reports. during the weekend i printed a few pictures i had taken of penang for my friend's farewell, but unfortunately we didnt get to meet up before he flew off, so they are mine now. i will continue sticking stuff up since it's still a little bare.

go grab a copy of cleo now, it wont disappoint, i guarantee! oh and happy 53rd merdeka, Malaysia.

she has finished ranting, now back to abnormal psychology readings.

point//shoot

i guess i should do this often, take random shots with my diamond2, i underestimated this little girl since i had my nikon :/ she's a phone, no doubt, but with a 5mp camera it still works well under perfect lighting. although due to my clumsiness of dropping her quite a few times (5?) the output of photos have these noise streaks, but with a little touching up, it's not quite obvious anymore.

anyway, i was walking back to the condo when i just had the mood to point and shoot at something, hence this hedge here. didnt even stop walking, just lowered my phone, and 'click'. and when i came back to my room, i saw right outside my bedroom window, these two black and white pigeons cuddling closely to each other. they made me go "awww..." so they ended up being my targets too.

ok, done rambling. ought to pack and go home for the weekend. have a beautiful weekend!

that marc, he wasnt marc jacobs

am done with the online discussion postings for my "second media age" tutorial, and now can finally sit back with a book -- the extraordinary cases of sherlock holmes, borrowed from michele -- and listen to some jay chou! until i have to comment on another classmate's response on wednesday, i shall take things easily.

thanks yujia for this chocolate :) although i have an ulcer creeping up on my lower gum!

tastes like a vanilla glazed doughnut, sugary

can finally breathe after 2 whole weeks' of rushing for assignments. did a little shopping today and came back feeling like i've aged a million years! the groceries were seriously damn heavy. my vanilla glazed doughnut got squished between my weighed-like-a-ton recyclable grocery bag and legs. but it still tastes amazing; krispy kreme. yumyum!

and also bought a cuff and skirt from f21.

saw lots of stuff i wanted, but neh, saving up for the monash ball next month! still on the mission of finding that pair of miumiu spring2010 lookalikes. and that mango bag that i have been lusting. i dont see this colour i want anywhere else anymore! if we're fated to be, i m sure we'll meet again.

she's addicted to six feet under. and mixed fruit juice.

i stared at them the whole afternoon

miumiu spring2010 platform mary janes, and guess whose?? forever21's!
faints.

miumius, miumius, cupcakesandcashmere's solid black f21s, polka dotted f21s.

except those miumius are satin, and these f21s are pvc. i.need.to.find.them.
breathe...
i prefer the solid ones although the latter is more special!
if they have it in navy then consider me sold!

i miss...

he went back to penang today, and we wont be able to see each other every weekend like we used to; it sucks. but i'll just have to deal with it, this love-sickness. i m only 300 words away from the completion of my assignment but these emotions just blocked every intellectual thinking ability i have. what better to boost my energy than ogling at a few of my favorite pictures from files i labeled "therapy", "home" and "us".

owl; \ˈau̇(-ə)l\

there was a mini-bazaar at uni today, and i bought this!

it was love at first sight, but haha which owls i see that are not? :P another piece to add to my humble owl accessories collection!

anyway, anyone has any ideas what ideological aspects are there in six feet under?

she's very pleased with how these photos turned out to be today. the joy of shooting in manual mode and photo editing websites!

dip your toes into a pond, and watch the ripples dance

most of the time i live in my own world, especially when i wake up early in the morning. this morning when i was waiting for the pail of water to fill up, the way the water drizzles slowly from the tap into the pail of water below made this interestingly beautiful tapping sound, almost like a tune. and like a madwoman, i smiled alone in the bathroom, it felt good, instant mood-lifter.
somedays,
you just wake up with a light step in your walk,

and ordinary things suddenly seem so extraordinary and even more exciting.

the water dripping off a tap makes the most wonderful music,
the clouds surprisingly fluffy,
the sky amazingly blue,

the flower on your ring most exquisite.

and this was breakfast with him and our friends on sunday, dimsum. fabulous.

she needs to write and write she did. now back to "the elements of fiction" reading. media text assignment, hello.

ole ole bali

was where kinta treated us to lunch last friday! the food there was wonderful! although it may be a little oily for some, but final verdict; it was goooooood! the fish was fresh and smooth, and the squid was chewy and succulent. yumyum! *both thumbs up, and both feet too*

at every table there was this bowl of water with white orchids in it, which served as our accessories later on. there will even be candle light if you dine in during the evenings.

sorry i shook :(

rita's, and below's yujia's

cumi-cumi goreng, which translates into deep-fried squid/calamari, and potato with tartar sauce. super amazing!

my fresh lemongrass tea!

group picture time! thank gawd for self-timers :P

would definitely go back there again! thanks kinta!! now i will just have to wait for yujia's batch of pictures :)
