rewritten story

ria took off her clothes from last night, stepped into the shower, turned it on, stood there. after 10 seconds what seemed like 10 hours, she realized she was still dry. and again, she realized, she didn't turn the tap in the right direction. she turned it left.

nothing seem to make sense anymore these few days. she stood under the running shower but didn't realize, this time that it was freezing cold water running through her thick, dark, waist-length hair and her skinny body. she just stood there.

she thought she cried. she knew she cried, but was not sure if those were her tears, or was it the cold water from the shower. she was not sure. then again, she was not sure of anything anymore.

but one thing she was sure. 4oopercent sure. he was leaving, leaving for a girl half her age, half his age. she was 22, shyly 8 years older than their daughter.

she had been sitting under the shower for over an hour now. if she stayed there any longer, she would be all wrinkly, and less presentable than she already is. at 41, she seemed too old for her age. no wonder danny left her for that young, flamboyant little child.

she knows her name, bernadette. she knows where she stayed. she knows her
mother, danny's future mother-in-law. this lady who would be the grandmother to
his soon-to-be-born child, is 46. she looked much younger and poised than ria.

she shut her eyes and decided to shun everything out of her already stressed mind. she failed. still, she sat there in the shower.

her heart cried. this, she was positively sure.

my rewrite of a part of Tara Road, the maeve binchy novel that i am glued to right now. it saddens me so much. are there any good men left in this world? fortunately for me, yes:)

nostalgia

from left across:
me,my youngest cousin xiao,n my sis.
the small face with bangs across, behind the table is not an apparition.
that's my once-shy elder cousin wei.
ooh i love this picture:) this is the epitome of happiness and true laughter
i think i was 7 or 8?
anyway i love this sooo much that when i saw this on xiao's blog i have to steal it.

it was taken in auntie su's KL home i think..too long ago i forgot.
but she still has the same carpet, the same pillows, the same table, the same couch with the same cushions and the same standing lamp in her home in Singapore.

i had a rather sharp face back then.
xiao was chubby but not anymore, she's so much taller than me despite her being 4years my junior.it's so sad i dowana talk about it.nope just kidding:) i love her like nothing.
hui has not changed much.her chubbiness i mean.she's taller than me too.
wei ar...she changed lots!like a caterpillar that has metamorphosized(?) into this beutiful butterfly with extravagant wings.she's no more camera-shy and is a dancer!ya she's taller than me.
everyone is taller than me.i don't mind:)
here's another one.DON'T LAUGH!

i am not telling which butt belongs to me!! (it's rather obvious anyways *curses*)
oh how i love the old happy days:)

um?

yay black nail-polish

please lock me up in a cupboard without any granpa's home-cooked food--
i can't stand the smell of fish curry that's why i had to eat it.
i pity the jelly becoming cold in the fridge that's why i had to eat it.
i heard someone say seaweed soup is good for health that's why i had to drink it.
i thought of the children in Africa starving and consider myself lucky so i had to finish the fruits. guavas and apples(green and red).
--and delicious penang delicacies
i can't stand the smell of char koay tiau that's why i had to eat it as a revenge.
i appreciate Big Apple Doughnut(iceberg) for being so pretty that's why i had to eat it.
i pitied the satay hawker for his tiring work that's why i had to eat them.(4 sticks only lah).

again, yay black nail-polish.i'm happy enough to have you.

oh please ignore my previous goings-on about locking me up in a secluded cupboard away from civilisation(and food),i was not thinking straight.low on sugar:) is it too late for that hot cup of milo?

democracy

2nd night here now.been feeling very serene being with myself and my thoughts alone, but until this afternoon i was really pissed.pissed off by the rudeness of housemates.

i hate inconsiderate and rude people.whoever they are.

i picked up a very useful term today at my first JRN1902 newsroom practice and theory, journalism lecture.

mr wong said "democracy" carries the meaning of "adulthood",of being an adult and having the opportunity to participate in making decisions.i liked it.

democracy,in my opinion, symbolizes freedom of choice,of being able to catch hold of one's own path in life and to gain liberation from it.

i want democracy for myself:)

and i'll be genuinely happy if i ever achieve that.besides being genuinely happy now that class starts at 3pm for me tomorrow.yay me!

because i'm being happy now,i decided that i'll forgive the rude people outside in the living room for their rudeness, once.they don't gain anything anyways.i will not bother them.ever.

i feel happy for the time being, really.

so i decided to post up this picture of my really happy family having fun at Genting during the weekend.

:)
a very jovial sis, smiling mum and dad.
oh and a half-faced me.and my gums
