genting-bukit tinggi pt. 2

after coming down from genting the next day, we headed towards bukit tinggi after lunch. i had no idea where it is as i was asleep the whole journey there.

it was a 300m walk up a steep hill, and more walking around atop that hill. but got lotsa beautiful pictures and shared good times with him and our friends, so it was worth it :) there is a botanical garden, japanese village, and further down there's a rabbit park, horse stable, and many other attractions.

we got a bit crazy with the camera at the botanical garden, everywhere we look there was potential for a shot.

storm lilies, i guess they are my favourite flowers from now on.

i dont know the names to most of the flowers and plants, but they are sure nothing like i've seen before, like these lovelies. they intrigue me, what are they? especially the ones in the second picture, buds on the bottom levels bloom first, and before the flowers are fully bloomed, they are bow-shaped. does anyone knows its name?

there was a spa at the japanese village, but it seemed to be deserted or empty.

after the japanese village, we drove our way down to the french village. it does resemble french architecture, doesnt it? i love the smell of freshly-baked pastry! and its colourful buildings.

along the bridge leading to its front arch, there they were again, these bow-liked flowers! there were bunches in purple tones, orange ones, and the more common pink ones. i really need to find out more about them.

we descended around evening, and had dinner at a steamboat place at sunway (dread sunway, dread). it was not quite delish, and it cost rm30 for not-so-fresh seafood. but its sotong (squid?cuttlefish?) was good, and its yam icecream? wow. had no pictures for that cuz eating was far more important. heh

came back the next day after breakfast, my friend dropped a friend at kampar where it was so hot the sky was so blue and the plants so green.

and with that, our weekend trip ended on a tremendously positive note. it was absolutely memorable as we had great fun together; 12 of us, and i would very much like to re-live every second of it again.
