gone are the days

i have a 2.5k words assignment on analyzing Ladri di Biciclette in relation to André Bazin and Raymond Williams' view on cinematic realism that is due this coming monday, and i am currently looking at a completely blank word document. yep. just wanted to post these 2 pictures we took of our paternal grandparents' more-than-half-a-century old shophouse in sungai petani last monday, to say we had a fun time shooting is an understatement. who knew a wall of boxes housing automobile spare parts strategically shone on by natural lights from an opening in the roof could serve as the most interesting backdrop and location? and also the wall at the staircase landing. the doodles are meaningless now, but they reminded me of the carefree years that i used to have, of make-pretend art lessons using those walls as canvas with coloured chalks and crayons in hand. growing up and thesis research suck.
