the monash ball last friday was awesome! despite our seats at the poorest corner of the ballroom miles away from the stage and were unable to ogle at jein (from our days of disney buzz) or the 10 mr/miss monash nominees up close, but with the food and the company and some new friends made, it was priceless! (well, if you single out the rm80 ticket, rm90 outfit and rm20 hair styling)

the chandeliers matched the theme "diamonds dust"/"première"
the waiting area had these quaint couches and paintings hanging above them, with a vintage-y homey feeling. sitting down, you would never want to get up, especially if you are in heels that kills.
fresh pink roses as centre-pieces atop the waiting area tables
appetizer was caesar salad, dressed in mayonnaise with chicken bacon, yummy!
the view from my little corner seat
main course; roasted stuffed chicken breast with pistachios, garlic mashed potato and seasonal garden vegetable served with fresh herb sauce (what a mouthful!). the chicken breast was a tad bit dry, but the oh-so-heavenly smooth mashed potato made up for it
the plastic crystals that shimmered like diamonds around the tables was a clever addition; tiny details matter!

when girls meet toilets with nice lightings = pictures
there's actually a story about this dress: i saw them in the september issue of cleo, and i knew i want them immediately (and badly), but couldnt find it at f21 at pyramid here in sunway, so i was on a mission to find it when i went back to penang that following weekend, and found it! on sale! but...
it was not my size, in fact it was 2 sizes too big! luckily my grandma altered it for me within one day. she separated the skirt and bustier part, nipped the bodice closer and tighter, and re-sewed them together. and it fit perfectly :) but i was so worried i would end up wearing the same dress as another girl since i saw many of them shopping at f21, but in the end there was nothing to worry about, i was over the moon!
ok, enough grandmother stories. moving on...

this shot costs 5bucks!
this was 5 bucks too, of us girls
it was amazing, although the company and food courses were lesser than last year's, but this year it was extremely special cuz it's our last year in uni..it was just unfortunate that another bunch of our friends couldnt make it because of assignments, but still, it was a memory not to be forgotten. thanks girls for making my night memorable! we had a ball of fun, didnt we? it's all that matters :)
the rest of the pictures were uploaded on my facebook, do come visit or better still, add me as your friend, if u have one!
